Ingredients

  • 6 lemons
  • 100g fresh turmeric
  • 1 small chilli
  • 250g fresh root ginger
  • 2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • Water

Method

Add the ingredients to the tallest cup for your blender. We use a Nutribullet as we find it blends really quickly and leaves very little pulp. This results in the minimum of waste and we benefit from incorporating the maximum amount of ingredients into our health shots.

  • Squeeze the juice out of the 6 lemons and sieve to remove any pips.
  • Peel the fresh turmeric and chop into medium sized chunks
  • Add the chilli – including the seeds
  • Peel the fresh root ginger and chop into medium sized chunks
  • Add the ground black pepper, honey and coconut oil
  • Top up the mixture with cold water until you have a total of 1 litre of liquid
  • Blend for 1 minute in the blender until all the ingredients are incorporated.
  • Pour through a fine sieve to remove any pulp. You’ll be left with a smooth liquid but you should still have some small tasty bits remaining.
  • Pour into small bottles. We love these 50ml Glass Flasks. They are the ideal size for our shots and store really easily in the fridge.
  • Keep your health shots in the fridge and drink one-a-day for maximum health benefits.
